Bezel Bungalow

The room with the viewpoint had a beautiful backdrop, and the dining area was lovely. But the stay had a lot of problems. We arrived while the rooms were being cleaned and had to leave our things in another room until they were done. Our shower was broken and there was no hot water. Staff couldn’t fix it, so we had to use a different room’s bathroom. The blanket smelled bad and wasn’t clean, and the stairs to the kitchen and upstairs were dirty. The kitchen we were meant to use had no cooking space, so we had to use another one that wasn’t well kept. The kitchen and balcony also needed a serious clean, and the place didn’t match the pictures overall. We left all the lights on because the rooms were dark and had asked others to do the same, but when we came back every light had been switched off. That added to how uncomfortable we felt.

The garden was my favorite part, with lots of beautifully grown roses and great spots for pictures. We also had a good BBQ, and the customer service was warm. Every staff member was impressive, and the owner was especially friendly. We liked it enough to extend our stay. It’s a good place at a reasonable price, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that.

Bezel Bungalow exceeded what I expected. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the panoramic view across Nuwaraeliya town was stunning. The staff service really stood out, especially one staff member who was so friendly and went out of his way to make the stay memorable. I’d definitely recommend it for a top-notch stay in Nuwaraeliya.

Mr Chamal was very accommodating when I had to cancel the first night, and he still honored the discounted rate we’d agreed on. I’d been searching for two nights in Nuwara Eliya for my family, mainly wanting a reasonable budget and decent rooms, after seeing poor Google reviews for many places. I found this one at the last minute and decided to try it. The property was eye-catching when we arrived, and the rooms were good for what we paid. Mr Aruna, the caretaker, was also kind and arranged a BBQ and indoor fireplace on short notice. It’s impressive to see this level of hospitality in Sri Lanka’s hotel business these days. Keep it up.
