La residence

The only thing that bothered me was privacy at times. Residents of the home used a hallway door to access their personal space, though it wasn't a major issue. We'd hurried here after a bad experience elsewhere, and the owners were lovely and helped with what we needed. La redidence is conveniently close to lake gregory and nuwaraeliya town. We booked both rooms, which had two balconies each with a cosy view, plus attached bathrooms with premium bathroom fittings. They'd been cleaned well even though we'd booked only shortly before arriving. For a small extra fee, we could use the kitchen, and they brought glasses, plates, cups, and dishes for cooking. In one word, AWESOME.

We had a calm, comfortable Christmas holiday here, and the rooms were clean. The owners were friendly, and reaching the place was easy, which left us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. It's not far from Nuwaraeliya city. I'm so glad we chose La Residence. Thank you.

There are budget rooms in Nuwara Eliya, with nicer rooms available if you pay extra. Parking fits two vehicles. The place is currently under construction.

We had a good two-night stay. The simple room looked out beautifully over tea fields and mountains, and the owners were very helpful. The city is 4 km from the guesthouse.
