We left early, frustrated by how unpleasant the stay had been. The rooms were dirty, and the bedsheets were extremely dirty and unacceptable. In the morning there was no water in the room. We complained straight away, but it took nearly two hours to get the supply back. The staff seemed unsure how to fill the tanks for the upper rooms, which caused a lot of inconvenience. The heaters didn't work, either. Bring your own pillows and bedsheets if you're considering staying here, since the ones provided weren't clean. I wouldn't recommend this place. Payment was another serious problem. When we arrived, we were told cards were accepted, but at checkout staff said card payment wasn't available. That caused a lot of trouble, and we managed only because we luckily had extra cash.

The billing issue was significant: extra items were added, and the final charges were completely different from what we'd agreed on when booking. Nearly a year later, we've still had no positive response or resolution, so be very careful when settling the bill. Aside from that, our group of 36 stayed one night at Royal Pearl Hotel and found the food good, with something to suit everyone's tastes. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the hotel accommodated our large group smoothly.

We booked BB, but there was no tea in the room. When we asked at breakfast, they tried to charge extra for morning tea beyond breakfast. The breakfast itself wasn't worth the cost. One day it was just bread and coconut sambol. Morning staff didn't know what we'd requested from the night management, and at checkout management didn't know the charges or what had happened. Check-in was supposed to be at 14 hrs, but our room wasn't ready until 16 hrs. When it finally was, there were no towels or bathroom toiletries. We had to ask repeatedly for towels, and they delivered them to two rooms on separate trips after multiple requests. The windows leaked, the room didn't heat properly, and the TV wasn't connected or plugged in even after we reported it. There was no drinking water in the room, not even when we asked. The advertised photos weren't true to what we found. The stay was useless and disappointing.

The welcoming staff and their hospitality made the stay comfortable, and my friends were very happy with the experience. I was there with friends from India at this three-star hotel in Sri Lanka. It's well located for exploring, and the service and atmosphere made it feel better than a three-star stay. I'd recommend it as a pleasant, affordable option.

The rooms were okay, but the washroom wasn't. We booked three rooms for one night, and the management didn't seem properly organized. The food area, especially the hand-washing spot, was so unclean it put us off eating. Even if the food isn't tasty, cleanliness matters. We also waited over an hour for it to be ready. I hope the service improves from now on.
