The Teak by Lakbima

The apartment was lovely and well equipped. It’s spotless and comfortable, in a quiet location close to everything, a nice place to relax and rest after hectic days elsewhere. We were asked to pay as soon as we arrived, which we’re not really used to. The whole building is freezing, and there’s no way to control the temperature in the rooms. When we asked about it, they offered to rent us heaters for an extra charge. There was no complimentary water, unlike everywhere else we’d stayed. On our first night, two parties, one upstairs and one downstairs, were extremely noisy, with loud music and people laughing well past midnight. I called the number on the reservation but got no answer, then went down to the office and found nobody there. I ended up asking the security guard, who was sleeping, for help, but he didn’t help. I then had to go to both houses and ask them to lower the volume, which they did right away. Even though these are apartments, you’d expect some customer service, and it simply isn’t there. I’m taking away one star for that.
