Tranquil Villa

This was our second time at Tranquil Villa, and after enjoying the first visit, we were really disappointed this time. The facilities were very poor and the property didn’t seem well maintained. Our bed linen was dirty and torn, and the bathroom smelled damp. The food was average. The staff were helpful and the view was great, but we can’t recommend the hotel.

Every meal was a treat, and the staff made the stay even better by being friendly, flexible, and ready to help. The view was so beautiful we could have watched it all day. Both the rooms and common areas were spotless and well maintained. This villa gave us the best experience we could’ve asked for, and we can’t wait to visit again!

We managed to get a room at the last minute last week, even though this is a small, popular establishment. The portions of food were so generous that we couldn’t finish it all, though the food itself was acceptable. Staff went above and beyond to look after us. Our room was comfortable, tidy, and well maintained, with absolutely stunning views over the lake. We stayed overnight and enjoyed our stay.

Sunrise and sunset bring vivid colours to an already breathtaking view, and there’s a little field nearby where you can watch the sunrise if you don’t mind Nuwara Eliya’s morning cold. The view is definitely a highlight. We had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem among the hotels in Nuwara Eliya. Service was top notch, the food was good, and the overall vibe was excellent. It could easily host 20 people. Highly recommended.
