The atmosphere here was pretty unique, which makes what happened a shame. We had booked one of the treehouses through Booking for four friends, but on arrival found the place had changed its name to Jungle Beach Hostel without taking down the old listings. We were shown to the treehouse, then five minutes later the host came back and said we had to move it to a group of five staying three days. They blamed the name change for losing old reservations, which sounded hard to believe since they seemed to be expecting us. Even if that was true, it was ridiculous. We weren't happy and asked for at least a small discount. The first amount the host offered was higher than our reservation price, so we had to push to get an actual discount. In the new room there was no running water. We asked for help, and at least an hour later they said a pipe had broken and we would need to use the shared bathroom. I can't recommend the place.

Basic, but the treehouses are nice, and I loved waking up in a comfortable bed looking out over the jungle canopy. Just remember that monkeys may take your belongings, so keep important things in the drawer. That's part of being in the jungle, not the owners' fault. If frogs in the bathroom or monkeys in the tree nearby would bother you, this probably isn't your place, so please don't complain about it on social media!

We loved being up among the trees and wildlife, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar made a relaxing spot, with plenty of food choices. The team were attentive, warm and welcoming. Inn on The Tree was a perfect base for exploring Sigiriya, and we'd happily recommend it.

We were there for three nights, and it was such a cool forest stay. The treehouses are simple but lovely, and at night you can hear animals around you. We even had fireflies fluttering by our bed. The windows have no glass, so be ready for the forest to be part of the room, including the possibility of other guests getting in. Still, we had a great time and would come back. Good value, too. Breakfast was good and dinner was great. The people working there were really friendly.

In a little forest in the Sigiriya area, this place is known for having rooms built up in trees. It used to go by "Inn on the tree" and is now called "Jungle Hostel".
