We extended our stay so we could keep working remotely from the restaurant, which has a spectacular view of Lion's rock. The pool is lovely for cooling off and taking a break, and the staff are unbelievably attentive. The beds are nice, breakfast is included, and there are hot showers, AC, and peace and quiet surrounded by wilderness. I’d stay here again!

The grounds feel like a jungle, and the hotel has a really nice view of lion rock. We appreciated the mosquito nets in the rooms. Dinner here was tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff were super warm and attentive. I recommend staying here. We ended up here because the AC at our other hotel was out and they booked us in.

The pool and the area inside the hotel were really nice, and breakfast was good. We were the only guests that night, so it was quiet. The AC in our room was broken, but they gave us another room to sleep in. Since the hotel is in the jungle, there are insects and lizards at night. Be prepared if you’re scared of them, though I think they’re one of the hotel’s beauties.

Being surrounded by nature was so relaxing, and the view of Sigiriya Rock is stunning. The Villa was pristine and spacious, and they really looked after us, leaving nothing to be desired. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner was super tasty for a very fair price. We had a wonderful stay at Melrose Villas and highly recommend it. The pool was being built and was almost finished, so it was a shame to miss it. Swimming with a view of Sigiriya Rock sounds like a dream. Wishing you all the best 💚🙏

The villa was clean, but the bathroom needs updating, and there could be more storage space and similar areas. The restaurant was good when we got the food, though meals needed 35 minutes’ notice.
