It feels like you're deep in the jungle, though town is only a five-minute tuk tuk ride away. We arrived in the low season, in heavy rain, and there were no other guests. The owner did everything he could to make us comfortable. I think this place would be great in season.

We tried a few nearby restaurants, but none compared with the food at Sigirya Cottage. The breakfasts and dinners there were delicious and such good value. The grounds are lovely, with a sparkling pool, and the manager and staff are extremely friendly and do all they can to keep you comfortable. I highly recommend it. Staying here will be a highlight of your holiday.

The regional breakfasts and dinners were really tasty, and the staff were friendly, always smiling. The owner was welcoming, organized, and ready to help with any problem. Rooms are spacious and clean, and the property feels safe. There’s a pool and gym on site too. We also recommend booking excursions directly through the hotel.

We were welcomed with reliably hot water, a generous breakfast that was offered free, a pool, and a spacious room. Sanjay is very kind, and this quiet, well cared for place has everything you need, close to the magical Lion Rock. We were offered lovely experiences too: a visit to the local lagoon, a cooking demonstration with lunch, and free bikes to explore the area. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The only downside for us was that laundry was too expensive compared with other places. Apart from that, we had a wonderful few days here with our kids. The owner takes such good care of guests, we learned a lot, and he can arrange lots of tours and offer good suggestions. Make sure to include him in your plans.
