The place was so peaceful that we slept really well, and the host made sure our driver had a room and breakfast too. We were welcomed with a drink, and breakfast was incredible, with fresh juice every day and hoppers that introduced us to a Sri Lankan morning meal. The host checked in on us throughout. We absolutely recommend the courtyard villa. Thanks for a brilliant stay!

The host greeted us with a warm smile and a cup of tea when we arrived after dark, and our room was already ready. It was lovely and decent, well maintained, and neat, with enough space for a couple at an affordable price. He also speaks Hindi, which is a plus for Indian tourists. We had tasty dinner options to choose from, and he helped us find nearby places and offered to arrange a tuk tuk for local trips. The villa has a lovely garden, hammocks, and little boards with quotes that make you fall for the place. The art and furniture reflect authentic Lankan architecture. The food was delicious, so try the local dishes for an authentic taste. Well worth what you pay, 150%.

We found the garden calming, even though it’s small. The lovely landscaping and architecture made it feel peaceful. My husband and I were welcomed so warmly and looked after with great hospitality. The rooms were cute and very clean, and breakfast was great. If you’re after the feel of a Sri Lankan bungalow, this place has something similar. Thank you, courtyard villa, for such a lovely stay!

The atmosphere is amazing, with a beautiful garden decorated with all kinds of things. The owner was polite, helpful, and trustworthy, and gave us a welcome cocktail along with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious too. There were lots of insects at night, including a few mosquitoes, but they weren’t dangerous. Everything was perfect, especially for the price.
