Venus Paradise

We only stayed one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean with everything we needed. The owner, Nuwan, and his sweet family live on the property, and we were lucky to meet them. A baby monkey got caught in the tree house’s screen netting, and Nuwan called wildlife conservation to come rescue it.

Nuwan was so friendly and did a lot to help us out. The property and room were beautiful. We had an amazing stay, and I couldn’t recommend them more!

I booked Veenus Paradise at the last minute, and the owner was understanding and made check-in easy. They were friendly and responsive throughout, and made sure we had what we needed. The room was spacious and spotless, with a mosquito net over the bed that gave extra peace of mind. The bathroom was well kept and had hot water. Breakfast was included each morning and was a lovely start to the day. After a day exploring, it was a comfortable place to come back to. I was thoroughly impressed with the service and accommodation, and would highly recommend Veenus Paradise.

For a budget trip, the quality felt acceptable for the low cost. The room is modern, spacious, and has what you need, including a fan that was enough for Sigiriya nights under 26 degrees, so I didn’t need AC. When it rains, though, it gets very damp. Soundproofing is poor, and lots of bugs can get inside, which makes sense with all the greenery around. The host was communicative, responsive, and caring. His family lives nearby, so he can come over when needed. The hot water didn’t work on our first night, but he fixed it right away the next day. He clearly cares about the business and tries hard. He shared contacts for village safari, wildlife keep safari, and massages. Some prices were higher than average, so you may find cheaper budget options by booking on your own. The jeep safari operator he recommended was lovely, though pricier, and the driver cared about and respected the animals.
