Queens Beach Hotel

The Sri Lankan breakfast was a highlight, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They even offered to keep our fish in their refrigerator until we left. We stayed two nights with our two young children, aged 3, in a comfortable triple room. The bathroom was a little cramped, so if you’re tall, it may be worth checking its size first. The room had a kitchen with everything we needed, including a large refrigerator, which made cooking convenient. There’s a pool on the property, though we didn’t get to use it. We enjoyed the sea view from our first-floor room. The hotel is on the land side of the main road, not directly on the beach, so it may not suit you if you want to stay right by the shoreline. Rates are reasonable, and it’s a really nice hotel.

We had a memorable stay at Queens Beach Hotel in Tangalle. The rooms were well equipped, the ocean views were stunning, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Its lovely beachfront setting made it a great place to relax, whether lounging in the sun or going out to nearby attractions. It had everything I could ask for in a beach getaway, and I’d highly recommend it for a Sri Lanka holiday.

The rooms were okay, and the hotel staff were friendly. Each morning, two toucans came right in front of our room to wake us up, which was a lovely surprise. The construction site just across from the hotel was a real downside, though. It was noisy and made sitting down for breakfast or going for a swim unpleasant. I also sent out clothes to be washed, and they came back smelling awful. One of my T-shirts had stains on it too.

The views from both the rooms and the pool are great. It's also quite close to the beach. The service staff were friendly, and breakfast was enough.
