We liked this villa enough to cancel our booking elsewhere and stay longer than planned. The owners are kind and easy to talk to, and helped us with whatever came up. They made us a tasty, generous breakfast that we could never quite finish. When we returned from our whale watching trip, they even cooked a wonderful breakfast for us and friends who weren’t staying at the villa. The tour cost $34 per person here, compared with $50 elsewhere, and the villa grounds are clean and full of flowers. Our room on the third floor was large and clean, with air conditioning and a spacious terrace-style balcony where we sat with friends in the evenings. The beach is about a 20-minute walk away, but we rented a bike from the villa for a very low price, so getting there or anywhere else was easy. Even walking was lovely thanks to the scenery. I also used the laundry service a few times, also at a very low price. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to meet kind people in Sri Lanka and feel at home, like at their parents’ house. That’s exactly how it felt to me. I’m happy we found and chose this villa. Thank you!

The house sits uphill, and the final stretch is so steep that walking up it leaves you tired. Once you’re there, though, the huge balcony has a table and two chairs, with a great view. We stayed for two nights and were greeted with a coconut drink. The owners are friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Internet was okay at around 12-15 Mbps. Breakfast leaned more Western, but was still delicious. There was even hot water in the shower, which isn’t common in the south of Sri Lanka.

We had four nights at this family hotel, and the large, tasty breakfasts were great. A king-size bed and a balcony overlooking the canopy made the evenings feel special.

The family room has a brilliant view over green plains and paddy fields. The beach is about a mile away, but the host offers free rides there and back. A really nice place with good hosts!
