Saman Resort

The pool was a lovely extra, clean and just right for relaxing. My family had a great stay here. The hotel was well looked after and had a welcoming feel, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The rooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. The food was surprisingly tasty and well prepared. A dependable choice for a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

The food was awful, with very few menu choices, and undercooked chicken gave us stomach problems. WiFi barely worked, with no connection in the rooms. When we raised it, the owner and staff insisted there was WiFi in the lobby, though the booking details said otherwise. The rooms lacked basics like tissue and handwash, and they wanted to charge us when we asked for them. The bedspreads were stained and had to be replaced. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the place felt unhygienic. A horrible experience. I won't return or recommend it.

The staff's care made this hotel amazing. They noticed every detail, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Such sweet people, and the food was 10/10 ❤️

I had laundry done here while staying somewhere else because their washing machine was broken. They charged 1,300 per KG, the most I've paid for laundry in Sri Lanka. I asked for it back by midday the next day, and they agreed, but it wasn't ready until 6 p.m. They said it had been ironed, but it hadn't, and my clothes smelled damp. Definitely don't recommend.
