We spent five nights at The Flip Flop and have only good things to say. It’s in a great location, quiet at night, and the service is lovely and friendly. Flash the dog is the best! I’d highly recommend staying here.

The owner was really cool and helpful, and the room was lovely, with a balcony, a good kitchen setup, and a clean bathroom. There’s parking too. It’s great value, and I’d happily stay again. Just keep in mind it’s a bit far from the beach, so you’ll need a scooter.

The location made it easy to get around: the beach and good cafes and restaurants are a five-minute walk, and there’s an ATM about 100 metres away on the main road. Our room was clean and roomy, with a clean bathroom, hot water, AC, a fan, and a mosquito net over the bed. The hosts were wonderful, and their big dog was the cutest. We recommend it!

Everything is easy to reach on foot from here. The buses and train are close, and you can even get a train from Colombo. I stayed for two nights and loved it.
