Snorkeling straight from Mali Beach Villas was one of the best parts of our stay. Just a couple of hundred metres along the shore, we could reliably see turtles, often six or seven at once. There was healthy coral and a lovely range of other sea life too. The villas are just steps from the beach, with the restaurant and café right beside the water. We ate at the restaurant several times. Both the Western and Sri Lankan dishes were very tasty, and it was nice to have good coffee in the morning and drinks at the bar in the evening. Breakfast was simple and delicious. We especially liked the granola and smoothie bowls and the banana pancakes. The rooms were spacious, cool and very clean, a comfortable place to return to after being in the sun. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout. We were especially grateful they let us keep one room until around 2pm on checkout day. It took the pressure off and let us enjoy our last morning properly. A brilliant choice for a relaxed family beach holiday, and we'd happily stay again.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. It's good value, in an excellent location close to beautiful beaches and great restaurants. We had a pleasant stay and can recommend it.

We loved it so much that we extended our stay, and I already want to come back. The staff were so helpful, offering friendly chats and tips about the local area, often before we even knew what to ask for. It's a very kid friendly place. There was a box of toys that made meals much more relaxing, plus good play areas outside and inside, including covered space for rainy weather. The setup has three closely placed buildings, two lovely pools to choose from, and the beach, where the water is calm and shallow enough for kids to play. Our room was bright, spacious and clean, with a balcony looking over the pool. Definitely would come again.

The pool was a highlight, big and lovely, with plenty of room to lounge around it. The Malee villa and the Beach inns holiday resort are part of the same place, so staying at Malee also gives you access to their restaurant and other services. The restaurant has a really nice view right beside the sea. We had a great two night stay and ate there a few times. The accommodation was clean, the AC worked well, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also rented a scooter from them for about 2.000 LKR a day without any trouble. Would definitely recommend!
