Hotel Tyla

The location is nice and the balcony has a good view. The hotel itself is simple, but I came to rest and sleep in, and that was difficult. Soundproofing is basically absent. At 7:30, doors started banging as people went down for breakfast, then the cleaning staff vacuumed and hit the walls with the vacuum cleaner. It’s a shame that even the superior room had very old, poor mattresses.

The restaurant and bar did a great job, and the rooms were decent, though nothing special. Breakfast was a letdown, with hardly any variety, and the pool was cold when we visited. The hotel has designated quiet hours, but nobody seemed to enforce them. Around 10 p.m. we woke to loud house music, followed by piano playing.

The owner helped my parents after another hotel robbed them in the middle of the night. He gave them a room, understood how stressed they were, and offered a discount when they were close to despair. I’m deeply grateful for that kindness. The hotel is beautiful, updated, clean, and great value. The staff are friendly and speak many languages, and breakfast and coffee are fresh in the morning. The owner goes out of his way to make sure guests have what they need. He also made sure my parents had the AC on and enough blankets to be comfortable. I’d recommend this cozy, welcoming place to anyone looking for somewhere that feels like home.

I stayed elsewhere at the campsite, so I can only rate breakfast. It was delicious, served early enough for a Sunday visit at 9 a.m., and cost just €9 per person.
