Best Baltic Hotel Druskininkai Central

The service was polite and the location was good. Parking is in the inner courtyard, though it isn’t guarded. The hotel needs renovation: the furniture is old, the beds are worn, and the floors creak. The SPA area looks poor too. It’s advertised for six people, but really only works for two to four, and just two can fit in the steam room. The room and WC should be cleaner as well, since clumps of hair don’t help. I couldn’t tell whether the air conditioner worked. Sleeping with the windows open was practically impossible because passing cars were so loud.

The location is really convenient. We’d booked a large room with a double bed, but at check-in they could only offer us either a small room with one bed or a large one with two separate beds. We had to pick from those options. Breakfast was a letdown: the coffee machine wasn’t working, and there was very little food to choose from.

The location worked well, and both breakfast and dinner were acceptable. The room, though, was in poor shape: the glasses were dirty, basic toiletries like soap weren't replaced, and the old, hard mattress made for an uncomfortable bed. The air conditioning was centrally controlled and didn't cool the room properly, so it stayed too hot. I also had to search for staff at the restaurant to get served. The hotel feels dated and smells of old wood. It doesn't meet its 4-star rating, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We couldn't sleep at night with doors slamming, street noise, and church bells ringing for almost 2 hours. The room's air conditioning was hard to switch on, and some units were very noisy. It was an okay size, but the space wasn't very usable. Breakfast was another confusing part: I called the day before and was told everything was included, but at the hotel one person said it came with breakfast and another said it didn't. This was the worst hotel I've ever been to, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.
