The sauna was lovely, and the small pool and jacuzzi were fine while the hotel was nearly empty. I got a good price for two nights, but chose another hotel for my third night in town. The room was only warm-ish, although I'd asked about warmth before booking and was told it would be warm. I couldn't relax in just a bathrobe and had to get dressed. The air con blew cold air and never warmed the room. The bathroom floor also took a while to heat up, so I had to leave the key card in while I was out to keep it on. The people who greeted me were great, though the receptionists the next day were very quiet and seemed sad. Restaurant and cafe staff were friendly and helpful, but the food wasn't great. The eggs and bacon arrived cold both mornings. Breakfast was ordered in advance from a small menu, not served buffet-style. Making your own waffles was the only good part, and it was entertaining. I imagine there'd be a line when the hotel is full. They ran out of caramel sauce for the waffles and didn't replace it on the second morning.

The massage was a real highlight. The masseuse was direct and did excellent work. The hotel is in a great spot and the overall stay was nice, but the room lamp was broken. We eventually figured out the bathroom floor controls, though the bath stayed cold. Breakfast had almost no fruit, and what was there wasn't great. It also felt awkward when they ended breakfast at 11 and insisted we leave the room, telling us to take our coffee upstairs. That was embarrassing with our friends from abroad.

Jonas and Austė at the restaurant made our stay more enjoyable. Jonas put effort into making dinner feel special, and both of them were friendly and attentive. Their service really stood out, and we were pleasantly surprised. I also liked the breakfast selection and the lunch options at the restaurant. Thanks to them!

The setting is pleasant, right in the center, and breakfast was tasty even if the selection was limited. The old building has character, but there was quite a lot of noise in our room at night from the ventilation or air conditioning. It might have been louder because a ventilation unit was on the roof above us. I was also confused by the advertised deals: the bar leaflet listed an Aperol cocktail at 6 euros, while we were charged 7 euros. There were spa flyers for massages and other promotions too, but when we asked, we were told there were no offers because it was the season. It makes you wonder why those special prices are advertised if they aren't available.
