Spa Vilnius

The service is kind and helpful, and in the evening we were brought hot milk to the room. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, usually with family. The bed in our room wasn’t very good, though the upgraded rooms are much better. I live in Klaipeda, quite far from SPA VILNIUS, but it’s still my favorite hotel in Lithuania.

The impression that stayed with me was positive, though the start was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. When I first compared places based on my criteria, this hotel looked like one of the best, and I came away with a good first impression. Then the messages started coming: a welcome note, treatment offers, prompts to register online, book a restaurant table, and fill out a questionnaire. I know these things are meant to make things easier for guests and help the hotel run smoothly, but it felt too intrusive to me. If I need something, I’ll ask. What I’ll remember most is the lovely scent throughout the stay. It was refined and subtle, which matters to me because I’m very sensitive to smells. The creams, soaps, and fragrances in the relaxation rooms, halls, pools, and massage rooms all seemed carefully chosen. We easily booked massages at a time that suited us, and restaurant tables were available. [Wednesday/Thursday] Breakfast was a varied buffet. The restaurant menu wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but it wasn’t terribly expensive either. We ordered salmon and ribs and were very happy with the cooking and portion sizes. The baths and saunas were well cared for, clean, and pleasant. They never felt like a public place, if you know what I mean. They’ve also added a swimsuit-drying centrifuge, a simple but brilliant idea. One sweet touch: I mentioned I was coming for my birthday, and that morning they congratulated me with a pastry and a small cake. It was lovely, even though I don’t understand a word of Lithuanian 😅

The breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent, and the location in Druskininkai is good, with free parking. It’s an expensive place, though, and some rooms still need refurbishment, which they’re doing gradually in stages. If you manage to catch a promotion, it’s a nice hotel to stay in. Probably the best SPA in Lithuania.

The staff really stood out: everyone was helpful, smiling, and polite. Not one grumpy person serving while scrolling on their phone. That says a lot, and the management deserves credit for building that kind of culture.
