The location and free parking were the only positives for me. The room was shabby and dirty, smelled unpleasant, and was very hot. The beds were worn out, there was no sound insulation, the Wi-Fi was slow, and the TV picture was terrible. The front desk ladies were pleasant, but the manager was rude, so the service as a whole wasn't satisfactory. The basement restaurant served food that wasn't fresh and was covered in flies. This is no more than a one-star motel.

We arrived at 10:30 at night and couldn't find anyone to let us in. The listed phone number didn't answer despite several calls, and ringing the doorbell got no response either. We ended up driving to Latvia to find somewhere to sleep, an hour outside Lithuania in the middle of the night. After more than 10 years of international travel, I'd never encountered a hotel closed at night with nobody reachable. Definitely not impressed.

The hotel is old and pretty worn. Some of the fabric looked dirty, though it may just have been stains that wouldn't come out in a regular wash. The breakfast, on the other hand, was fresh and surprisingly good, with meats, cheeses, desserts, plus omelets or pancakes you could order. A decent place to stop for one night while travelling from one place to another, and no more than that.

I hadn't booked yet, thankfully. On a Sunday morning, the receptionist saw me through the big glass doors but still left the entrance locked. I'll make sure I never stay there.
