The location was great, but everything else was average. There was just one plug socket for two beds in the shared room, which wasn't enough. The floorboards were really noisy too, so we could always hear people walking outside the rooms. Other guests had parties, including people who weren't staying at the hostel. One triple room had more than 20 people partying from 9pm until the early hours, despite the rules requiring quiet from 10pm and banning parties and loud music. We tried contacting reception by WhatsApp and phone, but got no answer. A day later, after we had checked out and gone home, they said they would have sent security if we'd called. We did call, and nobody answered. When we raised this with them, they refused to discuss it further and haven't replied since. There are better hostels in the area for the same price. I wouldn't stay here.

The hostel looked much nicer in the online photos than it did in person. It was very dirty and didn't look good to me, so I checked out after one night and booked an Airbnb.

It would help to have clear quiet hours. On my first visit, the family next door made a lot of noise after midnight, with the kids throwing a ball against the wall. The next time, my bed was broken in the middle, and at 6 a.m. a group of guys shouted in the kitchen for about an hour, waking me and my friends in another room.

For a night in Kaunas, the price was good and the room was clean, though there was a tiny hole in the wall. With about seven rooms sharing just two showers and toilets, it works well for a short stay in this incredible city.

Getting around was easy, since all the interesting places are within walking distance. The hostel was nice and clean too. We did have some trouble operating the doors properly, which was the only downside.
