Kempingas Ventainė

The only things I liked were the location and the view. We paid 36 euros for one night camping with a tent, which felt very expensive for an average site. The shower water smelled awful, and the restaurant and reception were both closed.

We had a clean, cosy little wooden house that was fine for what we paid, and the area was nice and quiet. The girl at reception was very friendly. One annoying thing, though: there’s still a minimum spend to pay by card at the restaurant, which doesn’t feel normal these days. We had a nice stay and might come back! ☺️

We decided to skip this place. It seems they want your money, but having a pet with you makes you feel less welcome. Dogs cost 4eur, but your camper has to be in a “designed” area, the dog can’t make noise, and has to stay in the camper at all times. You’re meant to walk it outside the camping zone, which makes sense, but a dog is an animal, not a robot you can program. If you don’t comply, there’s a 100 eur penalty. Even with the dog fee, that’s expensive. My only conclusion is that this place isn’t pet friendly.

There are camping spots, cabins, and hotel rooms, plus a nice restaurant with good food on site. The sunset over the Curonian lagoon was beautiful. My only miss was a kettle in the hotel room.
