We booked because the hotel has a wellness center, but nobody told us it cost an extra 5€ per person to use. The spa receptionists were terrible at customer service, which made the experience unpleasant. We stayed three nights and housekeeping never cleaned our room, even though we left the marker on the doorknob asking them to. For a hotel classified as four stars, the service fell far short, and breakfast could have been better too. Don’t be fooled by the rating.

The location is good and service was so-so, but the breakfast was terrible for a 4 STARS hotel. No croissants or bacon on the table, are you kidding me? The rooftop bar is super overpriced as well, and its menu is poor, with nothing to eat there.

Avoid this hotel if you’re arriving by car. They charge for parking, yet the lot is awful: very narrow, with extremely steep turns. I damaged the underside of my car trying to get in. Before speaking to reception, I checked the hotel’s TripAdvisor reviews and found that the very first one, from August 2025, described the same kind of damage in the parking lot. I raised that recent complaint with the manager and asked why guests aren’t warned. She said it happens rarely and there was nothing she could do. She didn’t even offer to reimburse the 12 euros parking fee. This keeps happening, and they don’t bother to warn clients. You pay to park and end up repairing your car.

Our room looked out over the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea. Amberton Hotel Klaipėda is right in the city center, with everything a short walk away. The room could use a little refreshing, though it had everything we needed, including a small welcome snack. We could borrow electric scooters for free, which was a nice extra. Parking cost €6 per day, and breakfast was tasty, especially the make-your-own waffles. Great stay in Klaipėda! 🌊🏨🛴🧇

I was charged for minibar items I did NOT take. That felt unfair and misleading, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you don’t want to risk being overcharged or treated unfairly.
