The alley where this restaurant sits has a few other places to eat and a really relaxed feel. I stopped in during my September 2025 trip to Klaipeda for a quick lunch and a couple of beers. The potato pancakes with herring made for a light but filling meal. Svytury lager seemed to be the most popular order, so I tried one and liked it. A nice lunch stop.

We’d had a great experience here before, but this time I came a long way to eat and was turned away. I arrived before 9, even though the listed opening time is 10, and they still refused to serve us because the kitchen was “closed.” The rude management and poor hospitality have made this a place I won’t return to.

The meal and drinks were delicious for very fair prices, and the wait was surprisingly short. It’s a lovely restaurant in a pleasant setting and convenient location. Be sure to try the homemade kompot!

We were 25 people, and dinner had been ordered ahead. The hot food arrived first, then they asked everyone what they wanted to drink with it. The wine only came after we’d all finished eating.

We left for the hotel full and in good spirits, and now hope for a good night’s sleep :). Dinner was delicious. At first, we got the impression the waiter didn’t like us, but after we ordered a drink he asked where we were from, and we taught each other a few words. He turned out to be very nice and friendly in his own way, and we ended up having more fun.
