The room was cozy and clean, with an excellent mattress and bed linen, and it was cleaned every day. The renovation isn't fresh, but the staff were friendly. I liked the hotel and its location in the heart of Klaipeda's old town. You can arrive any time and get in with a code, though you need to register with the administrator in the morning. The nearest beach is a 15-20 minute bus ride away. I recommend it.

Preliudija is one of the best lodging deals I've found, speaking as an American and a veteran traveler who's pretty picky. They kindly let me check in early after I arrived on an overnight ferry. My room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out, and the bathroom was one of the best designed for space. I also liked having a small fridge. You're right off the town's main square, and Klaipeda is a lovely city. I wish I could have stayed more than one night and tried their breakfast. Hopefully next time.

I really enjoyed my two-week stay at this tidy, welcoming hotel in the heart of Old Town. The owner/manager is so sweet and attentive, and she makes a fantastic breakfast.
