The bed was comfortable, with one of the best mattresses I’ve slept on, though the pillows were too thin. The bathroom and toilet were otherwise pretty good, but the shower was absurdly high up and couldn’t be adjusted. There’s no reception desk or staff member when you enter, so you have to call a number. That could be a problem for foreign visitors without phone credit. We didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on it.

Dinner came with a nicely presented dish, and the prices were reasonable. There was a wide selection, with both unusual and blander options to suit different tastes. Service was leisurely, so it works if you’re not in a hurry.

We were on our way to the hotel when, at 8.38 am on the day we were due to arrive, they emailed to cancel our reservation “for unforeseen reasons.” They cancelled all four bedrooms for our group from Germany. Absolutely rude. I’d give zero stars if I could. Never again!

No room conditioning in summer is inadequate. The rooms only have hand wash, with no shampoo. I’d give this place two stars at most.

Good value for the price. The room was clean, the staff polite, and breakfast good.
