Breakfast was a real treat at Elvyra's. Much of it is made from scratch, including freshly baked bread one morning, and the savory and sweet pancakes are well worth a try. We also had a lovely view over the Curonian Lagoon from our rooms. We had a living room and a bedroom, and both rooms were very spacious. Each has a balcony or terrace. Elvyra's English is limited, though she knows a few words of German, and we had no trouble communicating in the end. Nida (the center) is about 1.3 kilometers away on foot, along a pleasant waterside path. The Thomas Mann House is along the way, too. Elvyra's is well worth considering when visiting the Curonian Spit.
