We liked having a tidy backyard with a patio and terrace where we could relax and grill. The beach and main sights are a 5-10 minute walk away, right in central Palanga. A great fit for a family stay.

The hostess was very welcoming, and the room had attractive solid wood furniture and a wooden floor. You could see it had potential, but much of the furnishing was worn out. The sofa was old and dirty, the brush holder was broken and rusty, with limescale, and the shower glass hadn’t been washed. The toilet brush was badly worn and filthy. There was a smell in the bathroom like a freshly washed dog, perhaps because the hotel allows pets. The bedspread also smelled rancid, even though it had been washed. We were three people staying for one night. I didn’t even take my shoes off in the room. We found bedspreads in the car at a nearby Rimi, bought bed linens, and somehow got through the night. It left a lasting impression. The room was for the discerning, and if I’d had to leave, I wouldn’t have stayed.
