Maluno Vila Apartment

Malūnas 777 villa is compact and has everything we need for the household, plus more. The price and quality go well together, and the location feels secure. Shops are nearby, food can be delivered to the villa, and there’s a cafe across from it where the whole police station has lunch. I wholeheartedly recommend it. We’ll book early next year and stay here again.

The apartment itself deserves five stars: it’s newly and beautifully furnished, and has a heated outdoor pool. But the cleaning company gets minus 100 from us. There were dust balls, dirty socks, and an empty bottle under the sofa. The bed was dirty and the bedding hadn’t been changed. We did get fresh bedding, which I changed myself, but the bedding underneath the sheets and pillows was disgusting. I’d strongly recommend changing the cleaning company.

The cleanliness was awful. Dust had gathered in balls under the curtains and in the corners, and sand stuck to my soles as soon as I took my shoes off. We came for a week at the end of July and had to haul all our things up the stairs because there’s no elevator. The booking information said the apartment would be on the second floor, but our reservation was for the fourth. Those rooms were under a tin roof and unbearably hot during the day. They suggested turning on the air conditioner, but it was fixed at 25 degrees and only in the bedroom, which was upstairs in the attic. After we complained, they moved us to the second floor of another building. It was more spacious, but we had to carry everything again. The windows faced the main road, so traffic woke us early, and that apartment had no air conditioning. The sea is quite a walk if you have mobility problems, and Basanavičiaus street is also far away. We weren’t happy with the stay.
