Pajurio Vingis

The garden was a lovely place to unwind, and the beach and forest are close by. We had a clean, well-equipped studio, just right for a relaxing weekend. You’ll probably have to make your own bed, though all the bedding is provided. Restaurants, shops and cafés aren’t nearby, so you’ll need a car or be up for about an hour’s walk.

The room was cosy and warm even on rainy days, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the people around were friendly. We might come back to see the beautiful beach at Kunigiškės. The owner was helpful and responsive, too. For a family with kids, the basics were there: a kettle, small electric hob, pot, frying pan, soap and some cutlery. The room and sheets were clean. We were short on hot water at first, but later there was enough for us. I hope the owners will look at the quilts, mattress and curtains, which were only more or less okay. The TV showed just two channels, both LRT, and the owner couldn’t fix it. That’s why I took off a star.

We enjoyed our four days overall, and the grounds had plenty for adults and children: trampolines, swings, tennis, balls, board games, puzzles and a construction set. The place was clean and nicely renovated, with a soft bed, good internet and close to the sea. The main disappointment was our accommodation. We had booked a separate house with its own terrace two months ahead, but were put in a large shared two-storey house with neighbours above and beside us. We could hear them running at night, and had wanted quiet family time on our own terrace. The separate houses we saw were already occupied, even though those were the ones shown in the booking photos. It changed the feel of the holiday, so I’ve taken off points for the wrong check-in. Still, we were satisfied, and the four days flew by.
