Don’t stay there. It used to be called Šachmatinė, then B45 apartments, and now Hotel Promenade, but the hotel itself still carries all three names. I stayed there for the first time five years ago, and it was awful. This time someone else booked it for me, and I didn’t check the place beforehand. When I arrived, I was shocked that it hadn’t improved at all. The woman handing over the keys was rude, didn’t speak English, and knew only a little Russian. Breakfast was included in the price, but we got none. Nobody told us where or when to go, or explained anything. The rooms were filthy, with cigarette ends on the floor. I’ll post some pictures. There’s also no parking, despite what the listing says. I really hope it closes soon.

It was a quiet midweek night when we went, but the club seemed cozy. I imagine Friday or Saturday might bring a livelier atmosphere. I’ll have to drop by again.

Never going back. The place was dirty, and nothing worked. Even the living room lamps were out, there were no towels, and we found old food in the fridge from a previous guest.

It gets pretty busy, and the location is good. A nice place to have a cocktail, relax, and watch people go by.

Just average. There are probably better places around town worth trying.
