The location was handy, a short walk from both the town centre and the beach. There was free Wi-Fi, and the large sofas were comfortable to sleep on. The problems were hard to overlook. The lodge we booked was swapped for a smaller, older one, with no discount offered. Neither the bedroom nor toilet door would close, and there was no showerhead holder, so I had to hold it while showering. For three adults staying three days, they left just one roll of toilet paper. Cleaning was very poor. The bathroom wall still had toothpaste stains from previous guests. The kettle and cooker looked as if they hadn't been cleaned since the business opened. The kettle smelled of melting plastic when used, and there were marks on doors and on the parts of the walls people touch. A microwave would have been much better than that pathetic cooker. The bedroom mattress made a terrible noise whenever anyone moved. It was worn down at the edge, so it felt like I might roll out of bed all night. I've seen better conditions at basic campsites. At this price, I expect proper service, and I'll never come back.
