The beach is nice for swimming, and the rental boats are clean and fairly new. I wouldn’t come here for the food, though. It’s edible, but if you’re hoping for something tasty, go somewhere else.

The lake itself is really nice, but the beach feels privatized, and this food bar takes up the whole shoreline. I understand that, under Lithuanian national park law, the area within 30 metres of the shore is for public use. The staff are awful: they watch people through a telescope to check whether they brought their own food, then come over and tell them to leave. The food wasn’t good enough to buy from them either. Really, really bad. I hope they close down.

The pork skewer was great, but the other meals were poor quality. We ordered four different dishes, including the fish soup, which I expected given the restaurant’s name. On a good day I’d give the soup 4/10, and it came out cold. We waited over 1.5 hours for everything. The prices were much too high for that level of food.

The lake view is lovely, and our waitress was really sweet. But the food was cold and tasteless, and the wait was awful: about 40 minutes for drinks and around 1.5 hours for the food. The fish soup seems like it should be their main dish, but I couldn’t taste any fish in it, and it wasn’t seasoned. It was like drinking hot water. I don’t think they know what salt is. I won’t be coming back because the food was terrible.
