Saulys

The location was the one thing that made this worthwhile. We booked a suite, so the room was a good size, but the hotel felt outdated and far too expensive for what we got. When we raised problems with the room, nothing was sorted out and the response was rude enough to make it feel like we were being blamed. The receptionist rolled her eyes and had no manners or customer service skills. The director or manager wasn’t very nice either, though I suppose anyone can have a bad day. Everything else felt like a waste of money.

I booked two nights at the last minute and the price was still very reasonable. The room and bathroom were simple and clean, breakfast was good, and the receptionists were really helpful. There was some street noise on Friday night, but I thought that was a small trade-off for having a balcony room.

The central location makes it easy to reach nearby shops and restaurants on foot. I’ve stayed here several times in different rooms and have never had a complaint: the rooms are always clean, the staff attentive, and the restaurant food is amazing. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and fast enough for streaming. There’s also a sauna and a small gym, so even if you stay in and have takeout brought to the lobby, there’s still something to do.

Right in the center, the location is ideal, but the room doesn’t feel worth the price. The shower has no door, so water gets all over the room, and the carpet on the floor is dirty. There were no slippers, and breakfast used to be better.
