It’s a nice budget stay, with a supermarket very close by for food and groceries. The city center, bus station, and train station are all within a 15-20 minute walk. My single room and private toilet were very clean and well maintained. They provided a bath towel and soap, and there’s a shared kitchen for cooking. Check-in and checkout were both easy. A couple of things to keep in mind: the toilet is quite low, which could be awkward if you’re tall, though sitting down makes it easier. The walls also let through plenty of sound, so footsteps, people talking and walking, and doors closing are easy to hear. It was mostly quiet after 11pm, so my sleep wasn’t affected. Soundproofing during a future renovation would be nice : )

Check-in was simple, and the place is a fairly easy walk from the centre. I only stayed one night, but the cosy, comfortable room helped me sleep really well.

The pillows smelled awful, and there was mold in the bathroom. Someone also tried our door twice. Then some guests started yelling at 5:30 in the morning. Don't come here.

The receptionist deserves a big thank-you. She was kind, always smiling, spoke English really well, and helped me figure out bus connections and suggested what to eat and try. The shared kitchen was clean too, as were the room and bathroom. It's handy for the bus stop and city centre, with a supermarket nearby, and it suited me for an inexpensive night in Šiauliai. A couple of downsides: the room could use better soundproofing, there was just one outlet far from the bed, and I didn't find the toilet paper until the next morning :D

There was just one socket in my room, nowhere near the bed. I didn't meet any other travellers at the hostel. Some workers from belarus were staying there; they spoke only one language and were loud even during quiet hours.
