We were warmly welcomed, and the food was great. The hotel was very nice too. We stayed two nights during the 14th feeder fishing world championships for Nations on the river Skirvyte. There's plenty to see in the area, and it was a great trip. I look forward to staying again.

The shower was the only real downside, since it was very small. The room itself looked quite dated, but everything was clean and worked. There was a fridge in the room, although hotel rules don't allow outside food, which seemed a bit bizarre. Still, it was a great stay.

There are parking options, though getting a very nice spot feels like a gamble. The rooms were okay, and the late-night restaurant was a lifesaver. Room service felt a bit Soviet-like. I also found it strange to have a Bible in every room. I wouldn't mind a collection of important holy books from different religions, rather than just one.

Whenever we visit Šilutė, I make a point of eating at Gilija's restaurant. The food is always tasty and good. I haven't stayed at the hotel, but the restaurant is the best in Šilutė.

I went for lunch and was incredibly disappointed. I ordered soup and a salad from the lunch menu. The soup was barely warm, and the salmon in my salad was cold while the greens seemed old. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
