The golf course itself was enjoyable, and the surroundings were beautiful. Most of the staff were friendly and professional, but one incident left us uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of our friends from abroad. In the cafe, we saw a blonde woman, about 50 and very good looking, who appeared to work there. She shouted at and insulted another employee, using inappropriate language. She also seemed as if she might have been intoxicated. It looked like workplace bullying. We left to find somewhere else to eat. That unprofessional behavior affected the whole visit. If you support this sort of conduct, this place may suit you. We don't tolerate it and won't be back.

The course is nicely located, but the fairways were in horrible shape, despite the fast greens. The pro shop staff could be more polite and friendly. It feels overpriced for what you get, especially since Lithuania has better courses with lower green fees.

Booking a room in the club house made for a very good stay and play deal, with an unbeatable green fee. I suggest contacting the hotel directly by email for the best price. Check-in was until 6PM and the restaurant stayed open until 8PM. Breakfast was very good, especially the coffee and à la carte egg dishes, and service at the caddiemaster and restaurant/bar was very good too. The course was in great condition. The first 9 holes were trickier than the second half, with lots of dog legs. Hole 9 was particularly tricky, with an uphill green. I played alone and took a golf cart, which was the best decision because the course is quite slopey.

National was the first golf stop on our roadtrip, part of my travel blog from our vacation, and I arrived without much expectation since it was my first experience with golf in Lithuania. The clubhouse was a pleasant surprise, sitting nicely above the course. We were warmly welcomed even though my Golfhaftet card didn't work, and the owner still offered us a nice discount, so many thanks to him. The greens rolled true and were fast enough, which made sense since the course is owned by an English man. The course quality surprised me: fairways were nice and fairly wide, and the rough was deep enough. The teeboxes were the weakest part, a bit rough in some spots, probably from some tournament. I preferred the back nine to the front, with 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 18 as my signature holes :D. The practice area may be a downside for some, since the driving range is quite far from the clubhouse, though it's next to the 1st tee. After the game, the food and bar were great, and the locker rooms are awesome. I can only recommend it.
