Hotel Restaurant Dao

Dao has a welcoming feel and pleasant decor, so it works for an easy meal or a special occasion. The sushi stood out for me: fresh, flavorful and nicely presented, with care put into the ingredients. There are plenty of Chinese dishes too, with a good range of authentic, tasty choices. Service can be a little slow, though the staff are always pleasant and try to make sure guests have a good meal. With the food, atmosphere and friendly service, Dao is a good place to go for sushi and Chinese cuisine.

I've ordered from DAO plenty of times and have never been disappointed. It's my usual sushi place. They’ll change ingredients in your sushi if you ask, without questioning it, and the service is impeccable. Eating in was great too, both indoors and outdoors. The lunch buffet has it all. 100% recommended.

The food itself was good, but the Sushi Train was a letdown. This evening there was almost nothing besides tuna and salmon. We asked several times and got just one round with other sushi. Service was very slow, they were still setting tables, and nothing new came onto the Sushi Train. Nobody came back to ask if we wanted a drink. Very disappointed.

It's one of the few places around that's open on Sunday evening, and the location is really pleasant. The sushi is nice, the duck is really good, and the service is decent. A fairly decent meal overall.
