Chill Inn

We had a short break at Chill Inn and really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The forest shelters the place from the sea wind, and there’s a wild beach nearby with a bottom that’s good for swimming. It’s set well away from the main road, so traffic noise is barely an issue. Everything was clean, tidy, and welcoming, and people kept things quiet after 11 PM. No shouting or wild parties, which was a big plus for me. I’d happily return in autumn ✌️

The breakfast cost a lot for what it was, and the food was left open where flies and animals could get to it. There was a cat walking around the bacon and eggs. The tap water was also high in iron. The room was in such a foul state that we ended up sleeping in the car. The smell made it impossible to fall asleep and didn’t ease at all with the door and window open. The towels were stiff as rocks and had holes, and the bed linen was worn and stained. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. I’d suggest avoiding this place.

We celebrated a birthday here with friends, and it’s now my top place to stay with them. It was a very nice rented house with a Russian Sauna ( BANJA ), spread over two floors.

We stayed with my wife and two young kids, and the beach was within walking distance. It’s a lovely setting with quaint, chic accommodation, plenty of grounds to wander and little tucked-away spots to relax. There’s an optional breakfast that looked great, though we didn’t try it. The nearest cafe is a couple of kilometres away on foot, and I think the closest shop is back in Liepaja. There’s plenty to do there too.
