We only found out which button to press after being stuck at the front door without clear directions. Reception was remote, and eventually someone explained how to get the key, in broken English mixed with a lot of Russian. The room felt very basic, with no chairs, a broken hairdryer, no soap, and a very uncomfortable bed. The hotel is in an old apartment building. The general feel, along with some other reviews, left me uneasy about my safety and my car parked nearby, though nothing happened. It cost quite a lot compared with other places around, but I can understand that since everything else was fully booked. It does the bare minimum if you really need somewhere to sleep.

Motorcycle parking is right by the entrance, on the pavement and under a camera. The check-in was handled by phone, a first for me, and it was quick, easy and in English. It's a simple place with everything you need, and the distance management is well sorted. I enjoyed the short walk into the city centre.

I arrived from another country in the middle of the night, and the place couldn't provide everything promised in the advertisement. Their suggested solution was “to get out and cancel the booking.” This was the worst experience of my life. The owner is prorussian, so keep that in mind. This place should be closed immediately.

The room was on the small side, but had everything you need, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The staff were friendly too. It's a nice place for a few days, though a little far from the city centre. Still, a great stay overall.

The rooms are cheap, around 65 euros a night, but everything there is dirty. Check the beds carefully: my colleague found dead mosquitoes and sperm on one. The owner speaks Russian and knows only about 15% Latvian.
