Viesu nams Pūpoli

There are tent pitches in the meadow, along with a pond, shed and campfire, and you can fish. There’s also a volleyball court and a hot tub. The modern country houses are less than 1 km from Dundaga center, with a separate house offering a sauna, fireplace and guest tavern, plus a shared kitchen. The tavern "Pie Pūpola" serves gourmet meals, including organic vegetables, Užava beer, fruit juices and herbal teas. Soup cooked over a campfire can be ordered in advance for € 3.00 per person. Groups of up to 20 can take a trip in a Soviet-era army all-terrain vehicle, the GAZ-66, to the former restricted military area in Irbene. It costs € 2.00 per 1 km, and the Irbene radio telescope is there.

It’s a lovely green setting, about a fifteen-minute walk from Dundaga. The hostess is helpful and cooks really well, and the price is reasonable.

We stopped in for soup and Dundaga dessert!!! The hosts told us about their collection of retro army vehicles. Tasty and interesting, thanks!
