At 7:30 pm, even though the restaurant closes at 9, the kitchen was already shut and only dessert was available. So the food might be delicious, but we couldn't try it. If that happens to you, Cafe Engure is 200m away toward Riga. They have excellent fresh fish, and you can get dinner there!

The rooms and bungalows are of a high standard, but our arrival was a bit of a mess. Nobody was at reception, and when we called, the owner seemed surprised and sent someone to meet us. We hadn't been given the bungalow we booked on booking.com, but a first-floor family room instead. We moved to a bungalow the next day. The owner wouldn't offer a discount for the inconvenience. We paid 10 euros less than the booking.com price, which I think was just the usual difference between a family room and bungalow. We also had to pay in cash, even though card payment was supposedly accepted.

The location is good and the rooms are okay, but the towels were very small. There isn't a pool at all, which I think is essential in the middle of summer.

There’s a nice beach 200 m away, with a kids' playground. The stay was nice, though paying an extra fee to use the barbecue felt a little silly.

The host was good, but the place needs repairs and renovations. It was perfect 5-7 years ago, and it looks like nothing has been done since.
