There’s a great beach nearby, with plenty of cycling tracks. Bikes can be rented at the nearby Neptune restaurant or in the town of Kaugari. It’s also a pleasant spot for swimming and beach sports. Food is available three times a day: cheap meals on the 9th floor until around 6-7pm, and somewhat pricier but still reasonable food downstairs later. The medical facilities are excellent, making it an effective place for treatment and a good spot to meet grandparents and great-grandparents. There’s a settlement less than a 30-minute walk away, with a bus available. Sports options are limited, though there’s a gym, and you can rent a tennis court for 15€ an hour at the neighboring health centre. The modern rooms on the top floor have everything you need, and the low prices at nearby Latvian shops help make for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended, 8-9/10!

Like stepping into a time machine! Don’t take it too seriously. The food is edible, and the staff have a sixties or seventies kind of attitude. You can almost picture Leonid Brezhnev walking around there 😁
