A peaceful, beautiful place with creative, wonderful owners. I’d happily come back, and recommend it to anyone looking to reconnect with nature.

Three big stars for the service. The family’s daughter was brilliant, super helpful and friendly, and spoke excellent English. The atmosphere is gentle and informal, and there’s a collection of old Soviet-era radios. Dogs run free in the yard, including the host family’s, and the place is dog-friendly. Just don’t expect a farm stay with sheep or chickens. The building has a granny-like, DIY feel, and things aren’t exactly on point. The bathroom sink cabinet wiring would scare an electrical engineer, the Harvia heater seems to have burned out, and it might be worth getting a proper borehole instead of a city boiler, if that’s possible in this area. It’s an atmospheric barn accommodation, not a luxury place. Upstairs it got hot enough that I had to sleep with the window at my back, though luckily there were no mosquitoes. The building isn’t tip-top, but the very friendly, helpful service and excellent English make up for its shortcomings.

The hostess was very kind and friendly, and even a nice dog came by to make friends for free. The forest around the place is beautiful and makes for a peaceful holiday. Water roses grow in the backyard pond, and the sandy beach is a five-minute drive away. You can arrange to use a sauna separately.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the setting was attractive, with flowers and tidy grounds. The accommodations are set apart from one another, so there’s a lot of privacy, and it’s a lovely spot for a pleasant atmosphere.
