I booked without expecting much, but the stay turned out great. Check-in was quick, and we had parking, a good location, and a clean, spacious room. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The one problem was the Wi-Fi in our room, the signal was so weak it was basically unusable. I'd recommend the hotel and would be glad to return.

My family and I stayed two nights, and the restaurant was the highlight. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of lovely homemade Latvian classics. We ate there both days because nothing else in town was as good for us. It was the best food we had in Latvia: garlic toasts, mussels, simple sauerkraut and potato soup, mushroom soup, duck, and pork ribs. Skip the expensive tourist traps in town.

The food was okay, and the sweet potato chips were crunchy, but the Caesar salad needs work. The wine selection was poor in both quality and choice, and the prices were high. I paid 26€ for a bottle of merlot that I didn't enjoy. When I asked about bringing our own drinks and paying a fee, the waitress said no. If you're after somewhere quiet with average food, this is the place.

Jekaba Seta Hotel and Restaurant is a quaint little hotel in Kuldiga, Latvia, and it made a great base for exploring Kuldiga's Old Town. The traditional Latvian restaurant serves an exciting dinner menu with seafood, pork, and beef alongside flavorful sides. Breakfast is a wonderful buffet, beautifully laid out with tea, coffee, juice, milk, and even a mimosa if you want one. There are scrambled eggs, fantastic sausages and bacon, cold cuts, cheese, pickles, relishes, cereal, and an assortment of sweet rolls. Those rolls were my favorite.
