More Hotel

We arrived after check-in time without a booking, and the owner still found us a comfortable room. The service was lovely, and we really enjoyed our short stay. There’s an art-deco feel to the hotel, plus a restaurant downstairs that’s well worth a visit. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the avocado toast. We’ll definitely return.

The breakfast alone would bring me back. You pick your meal and time the night before, and it comes out delicious, filling and beautifully presented. The hotel has stylish rooms and a particularly nice lobby, with music in the hallways that adds a cosy feel. There’s a restaurant in the same building too. Some practical details let the rooms down: there’s no air conditioning, just a small fan, and no mini-fridge, which could be inconvenient for a longer stay. West-facing rooms get hot in summer, and opening the windows means dealing with noisy seagulls at night. In one room, the shower door barely opened, and the power card holder was loose.

The breakfasts were the best we’ve ever had. You could see the care and skill in how they were put together, with a wonderful mix of colours, textures and flavours.

We stayed two nights with family and found the staff welcoming. A couple of small things could be better, like the room lighting and having a bigger rubbish bin, but they were minor inconveniences. Breakfast was huge and very tasty, and we loved the beautiful restaurant interior. I recommend a visit.
