A cozy, fun and relaxing getaway. The host was very helpful and made things easy for us.

It’s a nice place for a 3-4 day stay, especially if you're travelling with kids or want to see the sights and have some fun. Staff are friendly and helpful, the location has great views near the national park, and it's only about 15 minutes on foot from the railway station. It's clean and cozy, the Internet is fast, and in winter you can skate or ski. There's also a sauna, and pets are allowed. I can't really comment on breakfast or the on-site activities. A few things could be better: check-in is only from 16:00 to 20:00, which is inconvenient, and from 21:00 there's no staff on site. They close almost all the doors and leave, though you can still get in through one entrance. The pillows are very uncomfortable. There's no bicycle parking either. We were allowed to store our bikes inside, but that wouldn't work if, say, 10 guests wanted to store their transport at the same time. I know Sigulda pretty well, but first-time tourists might appreciate some information on attractions, like the maps some hotels provide. That's a minor point, but still nice to have. Even so, I'd recommend staying in Kakitis.
