The staff are really friendly and kind, and the hotel has a nice view. The rooms are basic, but they have everything you need. Breakfast is a good, complete spread, though nothing special. In spring it’s a good place for anyone who doesn’t want to be disturbed, and it’s the hotel of the Italian bobsleigh national team. One thing to know: after 6 pm, there’s no service staff left in the building and the bar isn’t open. If you need water during the night, you’d have to buy it at the supermarket two kilometers away.

The hotel sits on a hillside with a beautiful view, and Santa is part of what makes Sigulda such a lovely area in Latvia. It’s simple, but has what you need: a comfy bed, a good breakfast and great service.

The view from our side of the hotel was spectacular, and the room was clean. We also had good breakfast and great staff. The one issue was the paper-thin walls. We could hear our neighbor talking with his wife.

We stayed for two nights hoping to be near Riga without being in the city, but ended up spending both days in Sigulda, which has plenty to offer. It’s a good base for hiking, with lovely trails and nature. Our room had a phenomenal view, though it probably depends on which side you’re on: one side faces the lake and beautiful nature, while the other is probably okay but not as good as the back. The room was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was high quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a very good hotel in a nice town. 5/5, I’d stay here again.

The view of the lake was lovely, and it’s a great place to stay with children. Service was excellent, with professional, kind and helpful staff.
