Laguna House

The lake is quite clean, and there's a nice cafe here. Some people come for beach volleyball, while others just relax by the water or go for a swim. A pleasant lakeside resort.

After the renovation, this feels like a perfect weekend spot. There's a restaurant, terrace, food and snacks, a grill area, beach, volleyball court, swimming spot, separate sauna house, and rooms. What more could you want for a great weekend with family or friends?

We especially enjoyed the little beach nearby, and the next day we rented the sauna by the river, tucked among the trees. They gave us a grill, skewers, and coal for our barbecue. I only stayed in the large, fully equipped luxury suite, and our other guests were happy with their rooms too. Laguna House did a wonderful job helping us recreate our wedding from 20 years ago. We live outside Latvia and flew in just for the occasion, so everything had to be arranged remotely, without us seeing the venue first. It was a challenge, but the result was just what we'd pictured. The hall was spacious enough for 50 people. With our 25 guests, they set up a cozy area, while leaving plenty of room for dancing and contests. The interior and decorations looked lovely. The chef recreated our old menu beautifully, and there was plenty of delicious homemade food, fruit drinks, and mors. They also provided a separate fridge for our alcohol. The service was discreet: we hardly noticed the staff, but the dirty plates kept disappearing from the table. A big thank you to everyone at Laguna House for making the event and weekend unforgettable, especially Baiba. She answered all our questions, organized everything, helped us along the way, and stayed until the very end.

Entry to the beach is 3 euro per person, and there's a volleyball area. The lake water could be warmer and cleaner.
