Guest house Baltika

The view from the window was lovely, and there were beautiful live flowers on the sills. The cleaning lady, who also acted as receptionist, was very pleasant. The place was clean, had a nice atmosphere, and the kitchen area had lots of things available. There was even a water boiler in the room. Most of the TV channels were in Russian. I'd recommend it.

We had a great stay, and even got to stay until 17.00 without paying extra, although the official checkout time is 12.00. I don't know if we were lucky or if that's the usual policy. The place had a lovely design and atmosphere, with a nice view and amazing live flowers on the windowsill. The cleaning lady, who also served as our receptionist, was kindhearted and lovely. The bathroom was very clean and well designed, and there was a cute little backyard with a cat living there. The shared kitchen was nice, and our room had a water boiler and fridge. A couple of downsides: most TV channels were in Russian and the movies were all dubbed, so it may not suit foreigners perfectly. The bed felt a bit too hard, though maybe that's just me. I'd suggest it to anyone visiting Ventspils.

The receptionist was such a helpful, nice person, and I loved my stay. It's a cute place about 800 meters from the city centre and very close to the sea, where you can walk early in the morning to catch the sunrise.

The family room was spacious and had everything we needed, and the place itself is good for a stay. But all the windows face the backyard, where people grill and sit at tables, having parties until 02:00-03:00. You can hear every conversation and shout. It was impossible to sleep, and the noise woke my child three times on the last night.
